Foreign citizens may bring into the country unlimited quantity of foreign currencies which have to be reported on the occasion of entering the country, in order to be able to take them out. Montenegrin citizens may take out of the country foreign currencies up to the amount of € 1.000.

Vehicle insurance and road tolls
Vehicle insurance is mandatory and it is carried out at border crossings. The citizens of the countries which Montenegro has got a special agreement with are exempt from this obligation. Therefore, the green card is valid for the following countries: Albania, Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Hungary, Morocco, Malta, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Moldova, Norway, Portugal, Poland, Romania, Republic of Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Holland, Great Britain, Tunis, Turkey, Ukraine, Israel, Iraq and Iran.

Main railway route is Bar-Podgorica-Beograd.
Air transport
Passenger air traffic is carried out from two international airport: Podgorica and Tivat.
Montenegrin airline operator ''Montenegro Airlines'', keeps regular lines with Belgrade, Budapest, Vienna, Zurich, Frankfurt, Ljubljana and Rome. Also, regular lines with Montenegro are kept by JAT, Adria Airways, Pelican Blue Line which fly regularly to Belgrade, Ljubljana, Skopje and Bari.
Montenegro is linked with the world by the sea route. Passenger and cargo ferries keep regular lines Bar-Bari and Bar-Ancona. The ports of Bar, Budva, Kotor and Herceg Novi have got the status of international ports.
